Sports News Saturday, July 31, 2004 Compiled by SDNP Head lines Four players share lead in school chess Four players shared lead after the completion of the fourth round matches of Standard Chartered School Chess Tournament in the hall room of Bangladesh Chess Federation here on Thursday, reports BSS. Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Shah Ali School, Imran Ali of Kushtia District School, Sumon Basu and Sheikh Shahid Ahmed of Kolkata all collected full four points. Nahin Bin Zaheer was placed at second spot with 3.5 points. In the girls' section, Kiruba Arul of Chennai took solo lead with full four points after the fourth round. Mimi Arjuman of Ahmedbagh Adarsha School grabbed the second place with 3.5 points. Abdullah Al Saif of Rose Valley School was placed alone at the top of the points table with full four points after the fourth round fixture in the KG to Class V section. He was closely followed by ADM Marjan Al Jannat of St. Joseph's High School with 3.5points. |
