Trading  at DSE, CSE unchanged

The price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange remained unchanged on Sunday with the losers outnumbering the gainers, reports UNB. Weighted Average Share Price Index remained unchanged at 823.22 points. DSE-20 Index, however, dropped by 5.28 points or 0.53 per cent to close at 979.16 points from 984.44 points on Saturday.

 

Of the 180 issues traded on Sunday, 48 gained, 95 declined and 37 remained unchanged. Some 1,208,627 shares and debentures valued at Tk 2.60 crore changed hands as against 1,602,833 shares worth Tk 2.48 crore on the previous day. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 66.06 billion from Tk 66.26 on Saturday.

 

UNB from Chittagong adds: The Price Index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange remained unchanged on Sunday. Trade Volume Weighted Index remained unchanged at 1841.22 points. CSE Selective Index, however, declined by 4.85 points or 0.41 per cent to close at 1163.93 points from 1168.78 points on Sunday. Of the 46 listed issues traded on Sunday, eight gained, 28 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

 

Some 142,138 shares and debentures worth Tk 17.38 lakh changed hands as against 316,944 shares valued at Tk 27.54 lakh on the previous day. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 59.86 billion from Tk 60.02 billion on Sunday.
